WE HAVE SOME GREAT NEWS TO SHARE WITH YOU
On the India-Bangladesh border in Bithari, West Bengal—a hotspot for human trafficking—we’ve launched a new Udaan Child Development Center, a beacon of hope for the region. Our mission is to reach the most vulnerable with education and life skills, bringing light to one of the world’s poorest areas.
This will be our third Child Development Center, with 543 children in our program.
Take a peek inside our center through the video below, where you’ll see classrooms, a computer lab, a dining hall to provide nutritious meals, and a salon to empower young women through cosmetology.
We are sharing these photos of the village so you can truly understand the impact Udaan is making. It is shocking to see that there are people who live in these conditions, but we are dreaming of bringing hope and light to this community.

We are thankful to our donors for making this happen, especially one of our donors who generously gave to make this vision a reality. Our staff team worked so hard for this, and we are so grateful to have such an incredible team.

Our new van will pick up children for their classes.

BEAUTY SCHOOL AND ITS IMPACT
Young girls in this region are most vulnerable to trafficking and become victims of transnational trafficking. Often due to the lack of schools, girls are sold or married off as young child brides. Our focus is to give these young girls employable life skills so they can be financially independent.
